This wedding at Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware was spectacular from start to finish. The Greenville Country Club is just a gem. It was formerly known as Owl's Nest Country Place. The Clubhouse itself was the former residence of Eugene Dupont. Now as a country club, it boasts many tennis courts, fine dining, and events. As with many Dupont Estates, the grounds are exquisite. The couple was married at the top of the steps in the garden. Their wedding guests enjoyed the ceremony at twilight in the garden itself. The wedding reception took place on the tented patio area. The tent itself was a stunning white drapery that was awe inspiring when lit. It actually took me a bit of work to get the couple to come out for this sunset. The ceremony was Jewish, and the ceremony was not to take place until sundown. Their guests arrived for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. As I was shooting the cocktail hour I noticed how gorgeous the sunset was. I went to see if the couple wanted to take some sunset photos. The bride had taken off her dress and was relaxing before the ceremony. I'm so glad I convinced her to put her dress back on!
