This photo was taken in my first year shooting weddings. It is still one of my favorite photos. After some years of experience under my belt, this is light that I would search for now. However, on this day it truly was a happy accident. We spent much of the wedding day traveling from location to location. We started this day in West Chester where the bride was getting ready, first at Emily Alice Salon and then at the Hotel Warner. The Firefighter Parade was also taking place in town, making town a little nuts. The couple decided to have their first look at the Warner. We then headed out to the streets and they took some photos in the midst of the parade, which was so much fun. We then headed to the Valley Forge Military Academy for some photos with the bridal party before heading to the church. They were married at a church in West Chester. After their ceremony, they got into the bride's uncle's antique car to make their way to the reception. This is where this shot came into play.
