There are so many ways to describe Lauren and Tom’s Ballroom at the Ben wedding in Philadelphia. It was over the top elegance with vintage personal touches. The day began at Lauren’s parents’ home where Lauren, 10 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and tiny attendants all were getting ready. In spite of the hustle and bustle around the house, Lauren found a quiet moment and place to open a gift and letter from Tom. I have to say that Tom has great taste, as he got Lauren a Nikon camera as a wedding gift! The ceremony went of without a hitch at St. Anastasia Church in Newtown Square. After the ceremony it was a drive to Philly in the Friday afternoon traffic. Once my assistant and I finally parked, we hopped on the shuttle with Lauren, Tom, and their 20 attendants. I admit I was a little nervous to try to coordinate 20+ people for photos, but the group did an awesome job! Photos were taken in Washington Square Park, along Broad Street, and in City Hall. It was so much fun taking photos in Center City and the results are incredible! My jaw definitely dropped when we walked into the reception space at the Ballroom at the Ben. What a space! The floral arrangements and lighting were breathtaking. Cocktail hour was complete with a raw bar and decor alluding to Lauren and Tom’s love for travel and how they met. After a delicious dinner, the dance floor was packed the rest of the night. I can’t thank Lauren and Tom enough for allowing me to capture their day. It certainly was one to remember!
