Cake Smash- Piper’s first birthday

January is a tough time of year in West Chester, PA for an outdoor cake smash. Piper was lucky enough to go on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for her first birthday. A “cake smash” is such a fun way to get some great photos! We took her down to the beach and let her go to town with her own cake on a towel. She loved the cake and the setting was perfect. The entire time she was enjoying her cake, the seagulls were looking at it longingly. We decided to give them the leftovers. They may have enjoyed the cake more than Piper. If you are thinking about doing a “cake smash” with your baby, the best way to get great photos is to get your baby out of the high chair. Let them get messy on a blanket or outside in the grass with a nice backdrop!  

Los Cabos, Mexico- Amy Abbott Events

Amy Abbott sure knows how to make a Los Cabos wedding absolutely breathtaking. A few weeks ago while on vacation in Los Cabos,  Mexico, I was lucky enough to capture these gorgeous event setups.. and a perfect little wedding ceremony. My husband and I were married in Los Cabos two years ago. When I knew I was going down there this March, I contacted our fabulous wedding planner, Amy Abbott, to see if she had anything going on for me to sneak in and shoot (with permission from all involved of course). Amy was gracious enough to allow me to follow her to the various events of the day and get these great photos. The highlight was a wedding ceremony that took place atop one of the highest hills in Cabo, overlooking the ocean, where whales were jumping.. no joke. It couldn’t be more perfect than this.
